Hello! I’m Ash.
Photographer, filmmaker and mum, based in Kingaroy and travelling wherever the work takes me. I photograph families because I think ordinary life is far more interesting than we give it credit for.
The house you live in now. The backyard your kids know every corner of. The way they climb all over you on the couch. The things that probably don't feel particularly remarkable while you're living them — but will one day be the exact things you want back.
I'm a mum of two, soon to be three, and a big part of why I do this is because I know how easy it is to become the person documenting everyone else's childhood while barely appearing in it yourself.
You don't need a perfect house, perfectly behaved kids or matching outfits. You just need a life that's yours.
